A little about me

Most of my career has been at early stage startups where I've learned to bring structure to chaos, build teams and processes from the ground up, and figure things out at 1,000 miles per hour. Below is a brief overview of my values, career, and personal passions.

My Values

Take ownership

Don’t wait for someone else to solve the problem or see the solution to the finish line. Have agency and see things through till the end. You can ask for help, delegate, and collaborate, but own the outcome.

Love learning

Stay curious, embrace every opportunity to grow, and love the process. Constantly push yourself to understand new things, soak up knowledge and skills, and learn by doing.

Show up as your authentic self

Bring your whole self to everything you do. Be true to who you are, own your authenticity, and recognize it isn’t a contradiction to professionalism.

Get sh*t done

Ideas and plans matter, but execution is everything. Roll up your sleeves, do the hard work, ship the thing. That’s how you learn, improve, and create real impact.

Operate with empathy

Have compassion and treat everyone like a human. This doesn’t mean relaxing standards, but it does mean acting with kindness no matter the circumstances.

Lift others up

Mentor generously, help others build skills and confidence to succeed, support where you can, and celebrate wins. Collaboration and teamwork lift all boats.

Career Highlights

Founder Journey

I co-founded Naro as COO and fell completely in love with AI's potential. Here's what that looked like:

  • Wore every operational hat: Owned everything from go-to-market strategy to product roadmap, FP&A, customer success, and everything in between

  • Became an AI workflow power user: Got deep into GenAI systems and workflow automation tools, constantly learning and experimenting

  • Generated real revenue and raised real money: Secured funding, built a paying customer base, and managed the resulting relationships

  • Established thought leadership: Hosted webinars, spoke at industry events, and built our company's voice in the AI space

  • Launched new revenue streams: Piloted marketing and product initiatives to grow retail sales, including in-home experience optimization and a new interior design offering

  • Built financial operations from zero: Created the company's financial model from scratch, including inventory planning, FP&A processes, and market expansion planning

  • Led fundraising and strategic planning: Shaped investor materials, built the expansion playbook, and positioned the company for fundraising

Scaling 0-1

I spent almost 10 years at Apartment List, joining as an early employee and building multiple teams and functions from the ground up as I progressed from individual contributor to executive leadership. Here's what that looked like:

  • Built the sales operations department: Created a cross-functional team across account management, forecasting, analytics, data operations, and client success. Implemented our system of record, built the playbook for new market launches, and operationalized customer interactions across the business

  • Established the accounts receivable function: Expanded our customer relationship model to include invoicing and receivables, built the operations and systems to support it, and reduced days sales outstanding by 50% before transitioning it to Finance

  • Scaled growth marketing teams: Built and led teams across content strategy, performance marketing, and lifecycle marketing, driving 10x organic traffic growth, improved ROAS, and increased retention and reactivation

  • Led strategic initiatives as executive leadership: Joined the leadership committee to oversee retention, partnerships, and growth. Launched first renter-focused partnership and overhauled notification system in collaboration with engineering

Early Career

I started my career building foundational skills in research, analysis, and project management across two very different environments that taught me how to synthesize complex information and drive results. Here's what that looked like:

  • Researched, authored, and edited grant proposals at Kenan Institute Asia: Drafting and editing policy recommendations, research reports and grant proposals for social and economic development initiatives across Southeast Asia helped secure projects with major corporations (Microsoft, Boeing, Citi) and international organizations (USAID, UN, ASEAN)

  • Built analytical rigor as a paralegal at McAllister Olivarius: Compiled and analyzed evidence for a large discrimination case
